Consider this arm chair, once the domain of some Eastern European men who simply enjoyed a little time on the Midlands canals fishing.  Now just a wreck, burnt out by vandals!!!

Every picture tells a story

This beautiful mutt found itself confined to quarters because of its tendency to get a little over excited.  Its owners, restaurateurs in Belac France, thought it better to keep her indoors till there were a little less customers around.

Unable to escape

A busy little fella

They pose, they fix their clothing, adjust their smiles and then the cameraman presses click.  There, the image is frozen in time.  Now everyone can see what was so special in your mind at that point in time.  Was the presence of your family, friends or just the place where you were.  Who knows, but one thing is for sure the image has been captured for eternity.

A moment for the camera please

Immortalised on film.  This little fella will live on the imagination of the photographer for years to come.  The moment, the smell, context and surroundings will all emerge each time they look at this picture.  It will bring back to memory a moment in time!

A moment in time

Some moments in time are precious and difficult to repeat.  It is this that makes photography timeless.  These moments are captured and framed for a lifetime!  Not even video does this, once framed it becomes an image for the viewer’s imagination.

What do you see?

They say the eye is the window to the soul.  Do you see a woman or man, young boy or a young girl.  Danger or peace.  Or do you simply see an eye, looking at you, staring into your soul.  Do you see yourself reflected in the eyes of the other person?

The one thing that all men and women desire, peace.  Large amounts of money, a great job, the friendship of others, a lover, the presence of your family are all beautiful things to aspire to, but without peace they mean nothing.  Peace of mind...

Peace

Their eyes shut, their hearts racing, their minds a swirl, all at that moment when they kiss.  Nothing else compares to that moment.  Their bodies are locked, their lips touch and speak for themselves, saying only words that they understand.

A kiss, a wonderful moment in time where two hearts frame love by their lips

A place where you can sit, think and pray.  That little corner of your life where you choose who comes in, you choose what exists.  Not a dark place but one filled with light and a sense of belonging as it welcomes you through a small portal.  Most of us have a secret place in our garden that exists like this.

The secret garden

Captured on the grounds of love

Clearly content with the few days of sun that the British weather system afforded him, this man went on to take a moment to reflect on the person who was taking the picture.  Forever captured here to create the illusion of a time gone.

The photographer says “ok, let’s get a nice family shot”, so you compose yourself and you here the camera go click, only to hear him say “I was only joking, I didn’t take it”.  Your original smile turns into laughter and then “click”, he takes that picture that says it all.  Now your smile has been framed for all time.

Now you really are smiling and how beautiful it looks

This could be seen for a getaway or simply an old passage way in some rural village in a foreign country.  Picture yourself there, walking pass this narrow alley, would you simply pass by and not give it a second glance or would you stop, look and give a moment of wonderment!

The escape route

They chain me and then to top it off, all I get a is bowl of biscuity type stuff!  They say two of the worst things to work with in photography are children and animals, this ole fella was no trouble at all, but he wasn’t impressed with his feed!

Same old food every day

A simple street like this has been time stamped by this piece of photography.  In years to come how much of what has been captured here will remain? Well, it no longer matters, the street has been immortalised on film.

What do you see?

River water flows continually, leaving and taking up sediments on the river bed.  For a moment in time this process can be frozen through photography.

A bridge over calm waters

Adjust the light, get the angle correct, zoom in a little or out a little, frame the target, then steady your composure and before you know it you have a work of art.  I wonder if the builders of this bridge every considered their work as art or just a necessity for the village.

Framing a village

Its’s amazing what you can do with the right settings on your camera even if the lighting is bad and you have a really poor backdrop.

Amazing Light

A walk through a beautiful garden displaying itself like a primed dancer.  Moments like these are sometimes rare, so catching them as you saw them is a treat.  The camera, what a wonderful eye!

Natures secrets

It’s interesting that we spend a lot of time crafting our gardens into shapes that are pleasing to our eyes, but if left to their own devices they will gradually place foliage at random intervals, so much so that you begin to witness unintentional visual effects.

Natures own furniture

Better an empty house than a bad tenant.  Who knows where the wind will blow.

A sense of direction

It is the struggle of a butterfly from its cocoon that enables it to fly.

Life or death

This is the stack of a derelict building at Rhodes Hall in Staffordshire.  This building lost its grandeur many years ago but sits amongst the many existing building of Rhodes Hall.

A time long gone

This little cafe is a hub of activity during the afternoon at Rhodes House, but here, we’ve captured the stillness of the entrance as it awaits its guests.

We’re jamming

Once a beautifully laden room with exquisite furnishings, this room now houses a garden and all that it has to say..

Family

Wen families gather for special occasions, some magical moments can be expected.
